Discovery sprint

Four weeks to a clear go/no-go.

Plenty of projects that go wrong were never really tested. Someone had a good idea, a budget appeared, and the build started before anyone checked who needed it.

A discovery sprint tests the idea first. In four weeks we frame the problem, talk to the people it affects, weigh the evidence and give you a recommendation you can take to your executive: build it, change it, or stop.

What you get

Evidence, not opinions

Discovery workshops with your team and interviews with the people who will use the thing, so the problem is described by them, not by us.

How it runs

Four weeks, then a decision

  1. Weeks 1–2: Hypothesise

We frame the problem and the opportunity, run the workshops and interviews, and write down what we believe to be true as hypotheses we can test.

  2. Weeks 3–4: Assess

We test those beliefs against the evidence: is it desirable, is it feasible, is it viable. Risks and constraints go on the record, not in a footnote.

  3. The go/no-go session

Your sponsors and key stakeholders get the findings and a recommendation to proceed, pivot or stop, with the evidence behind it.

  4. If it is a go

The product build starts from the discovery, not from scratch. A delivery cycle is a fixed price, 4 weeks, from A$60k, and it is measured against the same hypotheses.

  5. If it is a no

You have spent four weeks, not a year, finding out. The learnings are archived so the next idea starts from what this one taught you.
