CMS migration

Change platforms without losing your content, URLs or rankings.

A migration is where content goes missing. Pages nobody knew about, links that break, search rankings that took years to earn and a weekend to lose.

We plan the move from a full picture of what you have, clean it up before anything moves, and put the redirects in place so the people and search engines who rely on your site can still find it.

Planned around your release calendar · Nothing people rely on goes missing

What we do

A move, not a lift-and-shift

Every page, file and link on the current site, with its response code, traffic and inbound links. The inventory is the plan; nothing moves that is not on it.

How it runs

Five steps, no surprises

  1. Inventory

A crawl and audit of what you have, what gets used and what can go.

  2. Plan

The content model, the redirect map and the order things move in, agreed before anything is built.

  3. Build and migrate

The new platform built, the content brought across and checked against the inventory, run by run.

  4. Go live

The cut-over, the redirects switched on and the crawl run again to prove nothing broke.

  5. After launch

We stay on for fixes and enhancements, and to watch search and analytics as the new site settles.

Migrations we have run

Different platforms. Same care.

Trade and Investment Queensland

Three Queensland Government sites moved off Kentico and onto a single Storyblok space.

Department of Defence

PACMAN, the Pay and Conditions Manual, rebuilt on GovCMS: a crawl of every broken link, response codes fixed, content consolidated and fully migrated.

Fair Work Commission

fwc.gov.au moved from a site first built in 2009 onto Drupal and GovCMS.

Department of Finance

A GovCMS site lifted to Drupal 11, with its theme and content migrated.
