Why boutique

Big is out. Boutique is in.

Boutique does not mean small. It means specialised — senior people, no layers of account management, and the same faces from the first meeting to the handover.

We design, build and run digital services for Australian government and enterprise.

Big 4 share of large federal consulting spend fell from 76 per cent in 2022-23 to 45 per cent in 2025-26

The shift

Your peers have already moved

Between 2022–23 and 2025–26 the Big 4 share of large federal consulting spend fell from about 76% to 45%, on the Canberra Times' analysis of AusTender data.

Agencies did not stop buying. They stopped buying from the biggest firms.

What you actually get

The people who pitched are the people who deliver

No partner who appears for the pitch and is never seen again, and no graduate quietly inheriting your project in month three. The people in the room are the people doing the work.

What that has produced

Boutique doesn't mean small. Here is the work.

National Archives of Australia

Modernising access to a collection of 281 million items, without compromising its integrity.

DITRDCA

46 stakeholders consulted across 14 business divisions, then two intranets merged into one.

Geoscience Australia

Discovery and alpha for the eCatalogue, and the internal capability to keep designing services after we left.

Buying from us

We are already on the panels you buy through.

  1. Panels

BuyICT, buy.nsw, Buying for Victoria and Pae Hōkohoko. Australian owned, and the contracting entity is the one doing the work.

  2. Under the threshold

From 17 November 2025, non-corporate Commonwealth entities buying under $125,000 from a DTA-managed standing offer must invite SMEs only. An SME is under 200 staff. We are well inside that.

  3. Start with a discovery

A short, fixed piece of work that produces a plan you can fund, not a proposal you have to take on trust.

  4. Or a delivery team

A multidisciplinary team alongside yours for a programme of work.

  5. Or ongoing support

Maintenance, enhancements and someone who answers when it matters.

Tell us what is not working.

A website, an intranet, a service that people abandon halfway through. We will tell you what we would do about it.
